Electric Vehicles

An electric vehicle, or EV, is a vehicle with one or more electric motors for propulsion.
Electric vehicles lack the vibration and noise pollution of a vehicle powered by an internal combustion engine.  They don´t produce greenhouse gases and are therefore environmentally friendly.  EVs can be charged from the grid as well as alternative energy sources such as solar or wind energy.

Today's electric two-wheeler vehicles on the market generally have a range of 30 to 50 kilometers per charge.  This is usually sufficient for most people living in built-up areas.  The top speeds are usually 25 km/h.  Indian regulation has something to do with this.   Certification is required for electric vehicles and must be done through ARAI.
