They are certainly easier to get used to than a motorcycle but do not have their high speeds so are not really suitable for operating on interstates or highways. For shopping, trips around town etc they are ideal. So, although you won't be burning up the rubber on the highways they are a good alternative to those who are, perhaps, nervous about riding a more powerful motorcycle.
