Converting Evs to petrol vehicles.
I HAD BOUGHT ULTRA MOTORS VELOCITI ON 1ST JANUARY 2009. THE VEHICLE GAVE MINOR TROUBLES LIKE BURNING OF MINIATURE CIRCUIT BREAKER&LESS MILEAGE. WITH NO SERVICE IT IS QUITE DIFFICULT TO GET THE PROBLEMS RECTIFIED AT LOCAL LEVEL. DESPITE SEVERAL VISITS TO LOCAL DEALER AND REPEATED MAILS TO MANUFACTURER NO RESPONSE FROM BOTH ENDS. THE DEALER SIMPLY PUT FORTH THE REASON OF THE MECHANIC HAVING LEFT HIS SHOP. AND HENCE HE IS NOT ABLE TO PROVIDE ANY ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS SUPPOSED TO RUN 24000 KMS. AS PER THE DEALER.I.E. THE VEHICLE WAS SUPPOSED TO GIVE SERVICE FOR AT LEAST THREE YEARS BUT THE BATTERIES WERE EXHAUSTED AFTER APPROXIMATELY 8242Kms in 15 MONTHS. AND SINCE MARCH END 2010 THE VEHICLE IS STATIONERY DUE TO NON AVAILABILITY OF BATTERY. THE EARLIER BATTERIES WERE SWOLLEN DUE TO OVERCHARGING AS PER THE DEALER. BUT THE DEALER IS UNABLE TO INFORM WHETHER THE FAULT LIES IN THE CHARGER OR SOMEWHERE ELSE IN THE VEHICLE. SINCE THE ELECTRICAL DIAGRAM OF THE VEHICLE IS NOT AVAILABLE WITH THE DEALER NOR IT IS PRINTED IN THE USER MANUAL. WHAT TO DO NOW? I AM THINKING OF CONVERTING THE SAME TO PETROL VEHICLE. HAS ANY ONE TRIED THE SAME? AND WHAT ARE THE RESULTS?

Regarding Battery availbility
Sunita , can u tell me the battery type of your snappy, is it 18AH or 22AH ? In which city, you want it this battery? I may help you if you are in pune. I' m a dealer of elecric bikes & i have spare parts like battery, charger, Converter, Controller & Motor . We do servicing also.
BSA ROAMER + (Contact 9225522535)
I just took the test drive of the BSA Roamer + at the companys showrooma at Pune, it is an excellent bike for city travel. What i liked about it is the no petrol needed, cost of operation is only 20 ps. per km..... The best part is that the bike is made by the famous BSA company and the dealer has a fully equipped workshop and provides parts to all the E Scooters....the service set-up and the availability of spare parts and battery is indeed reassuring i plan to buy this bike in the next 2 - 3 weeks time... my recommendation is all should visit and take a test drive... in case any body needs spares you may contact them on 9225522535...

I have used the bike for more than ayear now.HERO being a brand name is eroding its brand ,the screws used to tighten and fasten have rusted withi n this time frame atleast the ancilliary should be crosschecked ,the shockers are also an issue,the cost and quality component needs to be looked into seriously for going green.

Well Before 06 month battery failed. It is under guarantee.
We are facing this issue since last 02 weeks & Maxi is not working. Delear ( Mansi Auto care , Ahmedabad)is waiting for replacement from Company !!. Looking to Company reputation , company must kep spares with dealer for replacement . I do not suggest to buy this Vehicle.

Compnaies are cheating the cutomers
I have purchased Hero-Ultra Velocity and after the split between Hero and Ultra, I am facing big problems in servicing the vehicle.
The maintenance of the vehicle is so high, that it is not recommended to be purcahsed by anybody. It is better to go with the petrol vehicle rather than this EV bikes. Atleast those vehicles has got the resale value and EV bikes, nobdoy will purchase it even for 500 Rs.

EKO Vehicles a bad choice
I had very bad experience with EKO Vehicles Pvt Ltd. after purchasing their EKO cosmic directly from the manufacturer. The second day onwards I faced troubles with battery charger, shock absorber, stand, mudguard, horn etc. Instead of riding it I had to pull it most often. Several correspondances to the company were not responded to. Their attitude is lethergic. I filed a consumer case, but the order came against me saying that I complained only after the 6 months warranty period. I am going for appeal at higher court. I do not recommend any one deal with this company. Any of you facing similar problems with it may contact me so we can jointly fight the case.
